Giving Grief Space
Hello, I’m Sarah, your companion in challenging times. Raised by the Baltic Sea, anchored in Berlin. Celebrant, eulogist, ritual facilitator, former funeral director. (Word) artist and musician.
Here you can learn more about how I can support your grief journey, about creative farewells, and personal celebrations of life.

Grief Support
Grief is our natural response to loss. Everyone grieves in their own individual way and at their own pace. Sometimes it can be helpful to take a closer look together, to sort through feelings, and to explore new perspectives. I accompany individuals, families, groups, and teams on their personal grief journey, with empathy and creativity.

Speeches and Rituals
A celebration of life allows us to once more express our love and appreciation for the person who has passed away. A meaningful farewell helps us grasp the loss and integrate it into our lives. I create personal farewells, individual rituals, and life celebrations that are keeping memories alive and offering comfort.

Groups
Sometimes it helps to walk part of the journey together. The experiences of others can inspire our own grieving process, and we can share about our everyday lives. We have space and time to listen to one another and to talk, to sit in silence together, to find comfort, to grieve, and even to laugh from time to time.

Creative and Music Workshops
Creativity is one of our greatest resources when it comes to coping with crises. It can help us access our inner worlds. The beautiful thing is: you don’t have to be artistically talented to tap into it!

Events
Let’s talk about death! I believe it is healing for all of us to engage with the topics of loss, death, and grief. Open grief cafés, memorial events, readings, and concerts offer a beautiful setting for connection, exchange, and culture. Let’s start something together!

Grief Support At Your Own Pace
Grief is not something that needs to be overcome or healed. It is the natural response when we lose someone. And it is the path we walk in order to live with that loss.
There is no roadmap and no rules. Everyone grieves in their own unique way.
Sometimes it can be helpful to walk part of the way together, to sort through all the feelings, to take a closer look, and to give grief the space it needs. I like to work with creative methods that help us access our inner worlds and organize our emotions. This can range from painting to making collages to playing music—whatever suits you. The wonderful thing is: everything you need is already within you.
Your pace and needs guide my support, whether in one-on-one sessions, with families, circles of friends, or teams.
Let’s find out in an initial conversation how I can best support you.
Celebrations of Life, Eulogies, and Individual Rituals
A celebration of life allows us to one more time express our love and appreciation for the person who has passed away. A meaningful farewell helps us understand the loss and offers comfort. Together, we will create a ceremony as unique as the life it honors, with personal rituals that fit you and your loved one.
As a celebrant, I follow the small and large traces each person leaves in this world. Encounters, memories, and experiences are woven into an individual life story that honors the person in all their uniqueness and allows their personality to shine and sparkle once more.
Support Groups and Grief Cafés
For some people, joining a group feels more fitting than engaging in individual support.
In a grief support group, we can connect with people who are in a similar situation. We can talk about our experiences of grief and everyday life after loss, and we can observe how grief evolves over time in others. We can share stories about our loved ones and about everything that is on our minds.
Participants in a grief group can offer one another helpful impulses. Professional grief facilitators ensure a lively exchange and provide safety and meaningful guidance.
There are open groups you can join at any time, as well as groups focused on specific themes and situations.
Creative and Music Workshops
Accessing our inner worlds: our creativity is one of our strongest resources. As a musician and artist, I enjoy using various creative methods to access our inner worlds and express things for which there are no words. The beauty of it is that we can use this resource whether we consider ourselves artistically talented or not.
Creative methods often play a central role in my support work. In addition, I offer a variety of changing creative workshops such as collage, healing frequencies, personal keepsakes, or grief melodies.
No prior experience is required for these workshops, and all materials are provided. You are welcome, however, to bring keepsakes or other meaningful items.
